Default Salesman lied, should I note on satisfaction survey?

Purchased a new 2014 ES 350 four weeks ago today. At the time the salesman told me if would be 2-3 weeks until permanent plates came in. Emailed him yesterday and he responded that the plates had just come that day. Went to pick up the plates today and noticed on the envelope the plates were in that the date 3/18/14 was handwritten, so they have been sitting at the dealership for 10 days. I am miffed at the salesman's lie which was an exception to an otherwise great buying experience. Should I note this on the buyer satisfaction survey or would that seem petty?

I'd go with petty.Really no big deal to me and maybe the salesman didn't know.
I find when I get a new car,I'm notified my plates are in by another person and not my salesman.

It's been my experience that it's usually the business or finance manager who calls when the plates come in. I agree that it's not a big deal and there could be a reason they sat for a few days.

Let it go, could be a clerical error or some other very minor issue.

I think I'd let it go.... I know when my plates came in I got a card in the mail from the business / finance office... salesman had nothing to do with it at the dealership I bought from.

Let it go, most of the time they have nothing to do with the plates.

You might mention it in the comment section but I would not ding the salesman on it who probably had nothing to do with it.

I live in California and got my plates in the mail in about 4 weeks. I'd be more irritated that I had to go to the dealer to pick up my plates. Why not have it sent in the mail?

My dealer (in Texas) called when the platers came in. They want you to come in so they can install them. In Texas we require the front plate and they put the bracket on the front so that it is done properly.

No big deal. It probably was with the Finance Mgr, and the salesperson wasn't aware.

My car came with the dealer plates preinstalled in the front and back.
