New F Owner and a few random questions
HI All,
I've been a Club Lexus member for a while now, much more of a reader than poster though. I currently own an IS250 X-Package but on Valentine's day fell in love with a new mistress, so I purchased a 2008 IS-F with 61K kms - I'm pretty stoked but still waiting to pick it up, which brings me to my first question:
When I test drove the car, the airbag light was on which the dealer was upfront about and acknowledged they would fix. Apparently the problem is a harness needs to be replaced and the delay in picking up the car is waiting for the harness to come from Japan. So my question is this: Does anyone know where the harness is located? The service manager "thought" it was in the roof panel over the driver side - I trust dealerships just about as far as I can throw them and normally do all my own work; I just want to make sure I know the location so I can check it over when I pick it up to make sure everything is put back together properly. I realize the harness and location details are a little vague, but it's all I got.
Second question is a bit easier (I think):
Will the 18" X-package rims fit on an IS-F? I would like to use them as my winter rims for next year
Thanks to everyone in advance, I've included some pics of old and new

First off, congrats on the IS F. I'm not sure about the airbag harness, but there are a few tech guys who will cone in about that. The 18s you have with your 2IS will fit and I know many F owners who utilize that size even beyond winter use. The Canadian spec/ Neiman Marcus wheels have always looked great with the F body style Enjoy the F!

Congrats and welcome to the club, I am also from Ontario we share a similarity. I had an is250 X package and replaced it with an ISF. I use my 18" staggered set (oem) from the is250 with no problems with my winter setup.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Great to see some fellow Ontarian's on here.
@Cobra1 - I bought it from Lexus of Richmond Hill
@Jkru2000 - that's interesting (and a little worrisome), is there any way to tell if the airbag has been deployed? Would the dealer have to disclose such a thing (I assume when they hooked it up to the computer it would indicate a deployed airbag?)
Thanks again,
Rob
