I have a Kicker COMP8 sub in the stock mount, rear deck completely soundproofed with Dynamat as well as all doors. Bass is very good as well as the whole system - balanced and louder than stock ML.

I have a CVR 8 in the factory spot and an L5 8 in a ported box both run by a old school cervin vega amp which is hidden under the left cover. sounds pretty good.. Oh and mine is a 2001 UL. I put the Bass **** in the ash tray

Yes. The whole system is stock except the sub and Dynamat. Been like that for 3 years.

I have 2 12" CVR's 2 Hiphonics amp 1 alpine amp, infinity Kapa door components and JL C5's kickpanels and rear panel speakers, given all the insulation that the car has to absorb noise it all sounds pretty good, However if I had to do it all over again I would just get a UL LS460 throw some Vossens and a air ride control and call it a day it has been a couple of years of headaches to come up with this set up.
