TPMS sign is on after a new set of tires, what to do?
Sears just installed 4 brand new tires Goodyear Comfortred on my 2007 RX350 few days ago, this morning, the TPMS light came on. I inflated on 5 tires to 32 lbs and attempted to reset, but to no available.
The light flashes 3 times but then continue to flash. Anyone have had this problem after new set of tires? Sears used my existing sensors.
Should I go back to Sears or Lexus Dealers have to reset this? I've read somewhere saying they have to scan the Sensor ID's and re-register them....
Thanks,

You have the same set of sensors and they have already been registered. I believe there's a button under the steering wheel column to reset these if the tires have been rotated. Try driving the vehicle to active the sensors. On the Gen III RX, I never had to do the reset, even after rotating the tires.

I've tried to reset by pressing and holding the TPS switch no no available, it flashes 3 times slowly, then quick flashes multiple times after that.
The weird thing is it was okay for 4 days with the new tires, just came on yesterday..
Could Sears damage my TPMS Sensors?

Possibly. It is also possible that the battery in one of your sensors has gone dead. Would not be unheard of after seven years.

sensors
go ahead and air your tires again to 32/33 lbs, then turn key on push button till you see icon flash 3 times. then dont turn key off just leave it on for a minute or two that should take care of your problem

No, I don't play soccer!
I would deflate the tires to maybe 28 and then reset TPMS. You want to register the lower pressure. After that, inflate all tires to the correct pressure. The spare can sometimes be the culprit. Make sure it's ok. If all else fails, take it back to Sears and have them check it out. Good luck.

Just head back to Sears. Every time I have ever had tires replaced in any car that I have had, I had to take it back a few days later for them to fix the TPMS. They will fix it for free.

I came back to Sears, the guy insisted nothing he can do so I requested to talk to a manager, he then said he would scan and try to register all 4 sensors, after a while, he said 2 sensors on the right hand side did not register, so he took them out to make sure Sears did not broke them during the installation, which he then confirm the sensors are still okay.
I took the car to another repair shop and in fact, the two on the right failed to register. I will either need to buy the whole 5 new sensors or just tape the warning light.
It's so stupid for someone who designed TPMS with sealed battery compartment. The Consumer should be able to go to Tire shops, take out the Sensor and put in new batteries.
I checked around, Lexus charge around $200/tire x 5 tires = $1,000, Independent Car shops charge around $100 for each tire (new sensor, install and register).
My car is about 7 years old, I guess all sensors should go bad pretty soon.

This is the new normal and is why I mentioned the batteries going dead as a possibility above. If you get seven years out of them before needing replacement you are doing good. One of the things the tech should have done while replacing your tires should have been to test your sensors and report any problems such as a low battery condition. They should have test equipment at the shop for this.

TitanTPMS is a sponsor here at CL. You might as well get a set of four new sensors to install.

I had this happen on another vehicle before I even left the lot. 2 were bad after the install but not before. The business paid for 1, me the other. I'm guessing this is pretty common.
