Default DIY Plastic Dipped some parts on F

Several weeks ago I saw video on plastic dipping I was bored so decided to give it shot if I didn't like I could always just peel the stuff off. First parts were my Carbon Fiber Splitters, about 6 months ago a something struck one while driving on highway and put nice size hole in so I took them off. I came up with idea to fix hole using epoxy putty then color match to car. I repaired hole and was going to color match them but tried plastic dip first came out ok so decide to try few more areas here some pics of what I've done so far.

Was originally going to do just Lexus emblem and chrome bezel decide to experiment little and did the center section as well. I sprayed them separately so if want to remove just lower portion of center section if don't like it or get tired of it I can with out having to remove Plastic dip from upper portion that contains Lexus emblem.

Last was some chevrons I decide to try using matte clear Plastic Dip wanted to give it ghost effect the color of car still comes through matte finish, you have to be close to car to see them.

Pretty sure I saw cans now selling at HomeDepot..

Did you just use Flat Black??

I have to redo my front grill and probably do my fog covers to freshen them up

Cant say iv ever seen stripes done like that with the clear.. interesting.

I cant say iv ventured on using it for more than emblems and window trim(but i liked it and lasted over a year just fine) on my 335. Have not used it on the F

Interesting look. Subtle but adds a little extra detail to the fender area. The front looks completely transformed. Lines were definitely well executed when spraying. It's a unique look, and still pretty fierce for the F.

Nice blue calipers. How do you like them painted?
Thinking of doing yellow calipers in my Obsidian but no clue how'd that look (as long as it doesn't look silly..)

Anyway, nice touches overall!

Thanks Joe, and yes you can get flat black Plastic Dip at Home Depot for $6 can. My total cost which include two cans of black and one matt clear two rolls of blue painters tape and one roll of pinstriping for grand total of $32 with taxes.

I also did my fog covers super easy and fast they took about 40mins that included masking everything off and adding 5 quick coats. When shooting areas such as this apply several coats one reason it's much easier to remove when thicker coat is applied and two this area will receive more abuse based on it's location.
