3IS Light mods
Hey everyone
I'm wondering if anyone here has done any lighting mods? Specifically, the side mirrors, and interior lights(i.e. front and rear dome light, door lights).
If you have, please state:
Bulb size
Type of bulb, that you used(maybe even your experience with them)
And more importantly, how you installed them(detach, attach compartments).

I bought the K series led panel package 1 from hid powerhouse. Replaces all interior, trunk, and puddle lights. The interior ones are easy to change. The trunk can be a pain because its easy to break the clip on the cover. Haven't done the puddle lights yet.

Good info. Would you say its necessary for all led lights?
I'm guessing regular non les bulbs would be great for puddle/door light. While led for dome lights.
What's are your guys take on this?

Does anyone know how to take off the bulbs under the side mirrors? Im having trouble with that. Also how would you change the turn signal on the side mirrora while im at it .. thanks

I've done the interior LED set from iJDMTOY:

Ten LEDs in the set. I also bought the LED vanity mirror bulbs.
Easy to install and they look great.
Thinking about doing the mirror puddle lights.

I'll help with what I can.
The dome (2), maplights (4) are 192/168 size bulbs.
I hope the puddle lights are the same since I have two of those same size that I haven't put in yet to confirm.

I was wondering if you guys know the bulb size,for the side mirror signal lights. Im not talking about the puddle lights. Im talking about the signal lights on the side mirror. Thanks

All the interior bulbs you can change have the same size. 168\T10 size.
Dome lights, footwell lights, puddle lights, vanity lights, trunk light and curtisy lights.
For the footwell lights and curtisy lights 6 or 9 led panels work good.
If you dont mind the that the panels are visible through the glass they also work on the dome lights.
Trunk light can have a pretty large (long) t10 bulb if you want a lot of light.
Puddle lights and vanity lights only fits normal size led bulb.
The indicators in the mirrors are a unit and you can not swap bulbs.
The reverse light has a different size. Not sure about that, but think it is called T15. It is a bit larger wedge bulb than t10, but not as large as the T21 wedge bulbs for the front and rear indicators.
