Default sc300 air suspension questions...

Is there a thread somewhere buried that i cannot find with info / details about converting to air ride? is there any "bolt on" applications or is there intensive fabrication involved? have driven with bc coils and loved them but the idea and look of air ride appeals to me and interested in the setup but cant seem to find any threads on someone actually doing it / talking about it.

Thanks for helping with stupid questions air suspension is new to me

Here's some people talking about it to get a better idea. Most are straight bolt in kits. The time consuming part is the wiring.

Throw some UAS bags over your coils. Get some valves, compressors, lines, fittings, tank, management, etc ,etc you're good to go! Visit some vip forums, they have much more information on air that could help you.

depends what you plan on doing with 400hp? i have about 320-340rwhp now and i do roll on with no issues. Plan on going single and crack the 400rwhp mark so for me its practical. Proper air system with managment will still run you around 3000-3500 not including labor

This is a rough estimate of the air setup I would want for my car. Most of the prices came from the Universal Air Suspension site unless they don't sell it.

-Accuair E-level with touchpad (management/controller) - $1095
-Accuair VU4 - Valve manifold - $459
-UAS aerosport bags - 189 x 4 = $756
-UAS aerosport brackets - 30 x 4 = $120
-SMC water traps - 38 x 2 = $76
-Viair chrome 480C compressor dual combo pack - $419.95
-4 Gallon chrome aluminum tank - $150
-Dakota digital gauges with 5 sensors - $359.95
-1/4 air line and various fittings - $300
-Coilovers of choice - $1,000+

This doesn't include the cost of the wiring, additional accessories needed for install, installation cost, taxes or shipping.

There are other options for every part, so it can be done for cheaper or more expensive.
