auto tranny console

Can anyone tell me how to switch out the black plastic (center) auto tranny console on a "93 SC300?. I see there are electrical connections and a clip on each side.

You'll have to remove the gear shift handle first (slide plastic collar down from the base of the shifter, remove 2 screws, slide shifter straight up) then the bezel plate can be popped out (4 clips, + 2 little 'locator pins near the ashtray) at that point you should be able to turn the bezel enough to get to the connectors for the switches. If the new bezel has switches would just be plug and play, if not you can carefully remove the switches from the old bezel (may need some small flat blade screwdrivers to release sme of the clips...) and install into the new.
