I just got my Zaino products ! Z1, Z2, Z6 and Z7 to be exact. Going to try it out later on today ! Just one question. To all who uses Z2, how many coats do you have on so far before you were satisfied and just using now the Z6 for maintaining. I know its depending on the own users satisfaction but just curious on what the ballpark # is on here.
Diesel - It generally takes me 2 coats of both Z-5 & Z-3 for me to be happy. In fact, maybe it's my vision but I don't notice much difference after 3 coats of the Z-5 or 2 of the Z-3 on my black GS. I've done as many as 5 of Z-5 & 4 of Z-3 but reached diminishing returns after the above mentioned 2/2 coat system. For maintenance, if I've kept the finish up, then 1/1 work for me ( I ALWAYS do at least one coat of Z-5 as the black finish shows every swirl/scratch known to mankind!! ).
One coat of Z2.....but I started with a new car. The thing that is impressing me most is the durability of the coating...........it has been 3 months and it still feels like glass and still beads water in a way that I had never seen till I used Zaino.
Okay, so far last night I cleaned by car with DAWN . Was recommened by Sal Zaino. Then, used the Z1 pre-lok and then applied the Z2. The whole thing maybe took 2 hours. Now I let the car sit overnight in the garage. Took it out around noon today and took off the polish and applied the Z6.
Results so far, its a little shinier than meguiars but its really too soon to tell. I'm planning to put another coat of Z2 on it later on today and do the same process. Hopefully I will see some difference. I'm not giving it high hopes just in case I get disappointed because remember my car is silver and thats the least shiniest.
Though one thing, the Z6 does wonders to my wheels. Makes them really bling-bling
