Default 02 gs feels very sluggish and flat in 1st gear only???

As in flat I mean feels like no timing advance at all and sometimes late shifting or won't shift until almost red line so is this a common problem with the 2gs3?

I checked all of the diy as well as searched and nothing concrete yet

Hmm... this must not be a common problem I assume?

I will try swapping the throttle body and report back...

So I honestly think it's in the transmission as it sometimes won't shift to 2nd gear without letting the rpm hang for a bit or sometimes I have to let off the gas then get back on it which leads me to believe that if the trans would shift in to 2nd at the proper time that I would never have this problem.

Trans is well taken care of with new oem t-iv fluid and filter as well as the shift rod mod but that only helps 3-5 gear shifts and it also has been doing this before I serviced the trans so any thoughts?
