So is it actually still going to be an off-road ready truck? Or are we going to turn it into a soccer mom minivan like the new Pathfinder?

Pathfinder was slated to get more soft, which is why Nissan still has the XTerra. Similarly the Highlander is soft and the 4Runner will remain more rugged

I hope the interior gets a serious re-work with better materals.

A simple new fascia and taillights will not do.

As long as the 4Runner remains a true off-roader with body on frame design, I'll always be a fan. Whats the possibility that Toyota offers a diesel this time... I know, I know...

it has to be an facelift... but pretty agressive one... looks good so far. I am sure interior wont change that much and it will stay body on frame.

Couldn't agree more. I'd love to see some sort of luxury version with slightly less cheap looking appointments...And i'd love a V8 option, but that's just me.
