It's a great video but I wouldn't use it on the F or any other luxury car.. MAYBE on the under panels or wheel wells but not on the paint. I agree that it might dull up the clear coat at the very least. However, it might be interesting if the coating can be polished to a shine. I would still stick with a good sealant/wax!

i was at pepboys today to buy some wheel wax and i noticed they had this technology for cars. It was a replacement for wax, guaranteed to repel water from your car for a year. only 23 bucks.. was gonna try this out after i used all my regular wax..

According to another user's research on the Autogeek forums, Ultra Ever Dry is said to be easily removed with an all purpose cleaner or scrubbing - therefore it would be useless on a vehicle.

Permanent coatings are becoming more and more popular in the detailing world. They repel water extremely well and are very glossy on your paint. Products like Opti-Coat and 22ple are common examples.


^My car has been coated with 22ple - which is a silica based coating.

DetailersDomain has posted several threads of vehicles coated with both Opti Coat and 22ple.

I did it myself. Your vehicle would need to be fully corrected prior to coating because any scratches, swirls, etc that are in your paint will remain underneath the coating if you do not remove them first.
