At Lexus Enthusiast, it was found that on the Facebook of Lexus UK(the same folks that teased the first single shot of the LS back in March), they reported the new LS to debut in California on July 30th. Since that's about 3 weeks from now, don't surprised if it's "leaked" in China very soon. That seems to be a new pattern from Lexus. Either a Japanese brochure or a Chinese leak. http://lexusenthusiast.com/2012/07/0...-on-july-30th/ Attachment 502102

Still trying to love the spindle. So far it works with various success on different cars. Looks great on the new ES but not so much on the GS. We'll see how it enhances the new LS.

It's funny,I like it on the GS and not the ES.
Looks really big on the LS.
Not really a new release, it's just another facelift right ? like with the RX, basically the same car, but with the new spindle grill and some other minor changes ?
I cannot tell the difference between the new GS and the new ES, even when I glance at it for a while, it's really hard to notice any differences. The ES will canibalize the GS up market.
If the LS is too close to the looks of the GS and ES, the ES will canibalize the LS market as well.
very risky what lexus is doing.

I feel the spindle looks good on the GS because it's a sport/luxury car. Also looks good on the RX.
I saw the new ES at the New York car show and feel it's too aggressive and sporty for an ES.I also hate the hood line that the ES has and the GS doesn't.
I may like the grill on the ES when I see it more but right now,I just don't like it.
As far as the LS look, the spindle looks huge.Especially the bottom.Got that odd huge grill look like the A8 but I like the A8 grill.

I can very easily tell the difference between the ES and the GS, but @ about the same size, I agree it could be hard for some people.
But with the ES and LS, I won't worry even a bit, people looking for a new LS shouldn't be considering the new ES as an alternative, two classes up, and this new grill on the LS picture looks different enough it's so prominent ...
TORRANCE, Calif., July 9, 2012 – Lexus will hold the World Premiere of the new Lexus LS flagship sedan at a special invitation-only event in San Francisco on Monday, July 30.
The 2013 LS will be available as the LS 460, LS 460 L long wheelbase, LS 600h L hybrid sedan and the all-new LS 460 F SPORT.
More information about the new LS will be available at 8:30 p.m. PDT on July 30, following a live webcast of the reveal on Lexus.com and facebook.com/lexus.

The new ES is going to be completely different from the 12.
Driving dynamics, exterior, interior, and tech are all going to be greatly improved upon.
The 12 and 13 RX are similar, but have some big differences one being Lexus Enform and the new nav system. Also the RX fsport is 13 only.
This is a good move and helps them space out their sedan remodels a bit. Heavily revised LS debuts at the end of the year, new IS in mid-2013, probably a GS update in late 2013/2014, then I'm guessing a totally new LS for 2015.
