Quick Rear Hatch Question
Was thinking about getting an '11 RX350 for my wife.
However, after driving it and checking it out (she liked it), there may be a slight problem.
She is "vertically challenged" (not tall) and may not be able to reach the hatch door (and the power close button) when its fully open.
Now the question:
Can the hatch be "power closed" from the key FOB ?
Appreciate the help ! Thanks

No, I don't play soccer!
With the questions on the tailgate, I was thinking about when the dealer gave me a 330 loaner when the 300 was in for service. I was eager to try out the power tailgate. I'm sure you remember how fun the non-power tailgate was on the 300 It took a while to figure out all doors had to be unlocked in order to open it with the key fob. Then I played with it for a while I still think it's one of the coolest features even after 8 years.

I am also "vertically challenged", being only 5'2" tall. I don't have any problem reaching the close button on the hatch when it is open.
I have found the RX to be very comfortable to drive and seems to fit us smaller people just fine. She will love it, as I do. Good luck!

The rear door button on my key for my RX will close the door as well as open it. On the '04, however, the side doors have to be unlocked for this button to function, a setup that was dropped in '05 and thereafter, as far as I know.
As noted above, the button on the key does have to be held in for a few seconds; the button on the edge of the door and the button on the dash will activate the door as soon as pushed.

She'd actually be pretty darn happy with 5'2''
Being the hatch can close via powered mode and via mulitple modes (fob, dash, etc) shouldn't pose a problem.

OK, I stand corrected. The tailgate won't close automatically when the car is put in drive and reverse. Checked tonight. I could have sworn it did The key fob or inside button will do the trick.
Wow, I can't imagine being below 5" and driving the RX. I feel tiny inside and I'm 5'8". But the seat can be adjusted to fit the height challenged
