LF Sport GX 460 for 2013
I spoke with my salesman yesterday and he told me, there will be a sport edition GX 460 for next year. Does anyone have any pictures of what it will look like? If I can make a fair trade, I am going to trade mine in for a new refreshed version this fall. I don't know if I will purchase the sport model...

interesting. sewell had the sport accesorie rims a while back, now they are no longer available. it will probably be a different grill, rims and minor stuff on the inside.
i doubt this will really be a "sport" version. what is the engine going to have more power? better handling? typical toyota bs if you ask me. the gx isnt about sportiness.

The old GX470 sport edition had a different front bumper, KDDS suspension and different color wood inside. The GX460 already has KDDS so I wonder what the new sport package has.

I wonder if they are waiting until the following year since photos of the rx and lx are already being shown. Also the 2012 gx is being showed at the most recent auto shows.

It seems that since the 2013 LX570 has "had the treatment" the GX won't see any significant changes until at least 2014 ... otherwise we would know about it, right?

Let's be reasonable ... both the LX and the GX are rare beasts. The resources Toyota allocates has to be prioritized and there isn't much money to be made by either vehicle ... although there is plenty of prestige, especially from the LX. An upgrade every five to seven years is about all that we can expect, which pushes the GX out to 2015 at the earliest.

There will not be a re-design for several years. Toyota/Lexus has always been very consistent with re-designs. The GX was just re-designed in 2010. Don't expect another till at least 2017. What you will see is minor cosmetic changes every year or so and some performance upgrades every couple years.

Well it seems that the rx and lx got a new nose and led lights. That's enough of a change and update to make me wait for 2013. I just hope it's not too late in the year.

It's fact, I've spoken with the GM from my dealer as well as a salesman at another dealer. It will have a minor refresh this fall and will be a 2013 model. If I were you, I would wait...

If the entire Lexus line was going to be updated for 2013, wouldn't we know about it by now? The refresh of the RX and the LX is old news ... here's yet another look at the 2013 LX 570:

As the current generation RX and LX were released before the current generation GX, it seems so should their updates. Other than hearsay from unnamed and unverified sources, can anyone provide credible information of a refreshed GX for 2013?

P.S. To those who claim some salesman or the GM of the dealership told them ... my experience has been those are the last to know ... and for good reason! Salespeople will tell you anything you want to hear to keep you as a customer. I have high regard for our dealership for their service, but I would never ask a question about a future product ... why make them tell you a lie?
