Hey, welcome.
First off, don't bother thinking you can mod this thing much more than bolt-ons to the engine.
I've gone into as far as contacting Aisin, in regards to the hybrid drive.
Intake, exhaust, brakes, suspension is about it. The ECUs are locked down, and even a throttle controller wont work.
Know this. You are not really driving your car. When you hit the gas. You are basically putting a algorithm into the computer and then the car reacts. Put your car in neutral and punch it. The motor might kick on to charge the battery. Might not. But its not going to rev, you don't even know what redline is on that car
This is pretty much what you're dealing with.

Call Hennessey Performance, they can do that swap into any car
http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/
Other then that, your other option is trade in your 450h for a new M5 or E63 then reflash the ECU. Instant 600+ hp.

APEXi has a throttle controller for the GS450h. It won't add power but it should make your car more responsive. I don't believe anyone on here has tried this yet.

so what makes apexi work with GS450h when blitz/tom's don't?

i'm getting confused about this whole throttle controller thingy. on the one hand, apexi has an application for it and they say it should work. but when blitz/tom's throttle controller came out a couple of years ago, i was told that it won't work with GSh (see post #55 & #56 in the link below):

and to answer simonl's question, i believe tom's hyper compressor is available for the GSh. if it's not available, they wouldn't show it at all. if someone wants to buy it badly enough, tom's will build it for you. it's all about "show me the money".

on the flipside, you can always add nos. if you are going full throttle, the engine will run and nos should work.

Trust that I am still on a quest to amp the hybrid drive.
If anyone wrecks or totals or knows where a totaled hybrid drive and battery is... I would be all over it. I know there is more power in that drive line. I know that Toyota cut back on what that trans will throw down. I know that with a code re-write you could improve percentage of power on take-off. Improve throttle response.
LEXUS, you hear me!
