Are these the F-sport/Bilstein shocks that I need and will fit the 07 IS?

Is the price pretty good and what are the prices that you guys pay for the parts and the labor as well? I got quoted $1200 at the Lexus dealer for just replacing the rears...

Also, I'm looking around the Lexus site for parts, why are the stock oem IS-F shocks (part #48510, 48520 $229.07 each for fronts, part#48530, 48540 $253.86 each for rears) different pricing than the link above? The part numbers for the link above are different as well (PTR13-53080, PTR13-53081, PTR13-53093, PTR13-53094)

Since only my rears need to be replaced, would you guys recommend me changing just the rears or all 4?

The F-sport shocks and IS-F OEM shocks are different prices and parts because they have nothing to do with each other.

F-sport parts are parts for the ISx50.

IS-F parts are for the IS-F, which despite many similarities, is also a different car.


If you're on stock springs I don't think I'd recommend doing anything but replacing the two bad shocks with OEM replacements... the F-sport parts would probably over-dampen the stock springs a bit.

I certainly wouldn't be putting different shocks front and rear on the stock springs.


If you like the stock suspension, just get 2 new stock shocks. If you don't, then you need to decide what exactly you want from the suspension and see if it's time for coilovers, or possibly a shock/spring change (again you'd want to do this on all 4 corners)

Depending on what you decide on what route to go with your parts here, might I recommend the DIY approach on the shocks? I mean, I just did install a set of BC Racing coilovers on my 350 over the weekend and rears were a BREEZE! Pull the carpet liners, jack up the car, remove wheel, remove sway bar end link (12mm), remove 19mm bolt through shock, remove 19mm LCA bolt attaching to the knuckle. LCA drops down. Now remove the 14mm top shock mount nuts...done! Now, if you are not doing a coilover setup you will have to put the OE spring on the new shock. Though this might be scary for a first-timer, its as simple as getting $20 set of the spring compressors from Harbor Freight.

Save the extra change and purchase more mods! LOL

I would either buy the other guys set on here, buy 2 stock shocks if you NEVER plan on lowering, or get the blue Tokico's for a beter deal and have someone other than the dealer install them.

Can someone please answer this for me.

Are the tokico blues the same as the OEM shocks? I need to replace just the rears, so I need to know if I can just buy 2 tokico blues for the rears.

The blues are probably the closest valved shock they have compared to OEM.
