Hi All,

I have a 2006 GX and all my lights came on recently and I have not been able to find the problem. I thought it was a loose gas cap, but after replacing it with a brand new one and resetting the battery, the lights came back on after a week. I had a mechanic pull the codes listed below so I wanted to check with you guys before getting any guess work done.

I know it can be a number of things and don't want to waste money fixing every little thing that might be wrong. I'd rather know exactly what's wrong and only fix that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Code which has been mentioneed by you seems to be from a Diagnostic tool intrepreting Toyota Vehicle Codes. For Lexus, the codes are bit different. Anyways to let you know the fault in your GX. it is related to the Fuel Vapor Pressure. If there is a change in the Pressure with in the tank, then you get the MiL on your cluster warning. They can be affected by various situations, such as Ambient Temperature, Atmospheric Pressure & Fuel Level. To adjust to the outside Atmosperic conditions, The VSV valve shuts of the vacuum system via the PCM and allows the CCV( Charcoal Canister Valve Open to allow Fresh Air to equalizeto the atmospheric pressure into the system. The Fault in your truck lies at the Charcoal Cannister and to correct this you can do it via the OBD tool at the dealer The Fault codes for the Lexus truck would be P0441/P0442/P0446/P0455/P0456.
Try this process as you can do it yourself . The process is as follows
Turn off the engine.
B. Disconnect the air inlet line
from CCV.( located below the Fuel Tank
C. Remove and reinstall fuel tank
cap to release system pressure.
D. Restart the engine.
You are good to go.

Thanks Man77, I'll try what you described and see if it helps. By any chance do you have a photo of the valve I need to disconnect? Can I access this part without jacking up the car? Is it more towards the tail of the car or the middle?

I had the same problem and just opened the gas tank cap and put it back on. The lights did not go out right away. But then I let the car sit off for about an hour and the lights did not return when I started the car.
