Question 2000 ES300 Hood Lift Part Number?

Just bought a 2000 Lexus ES300 a few weeks ago with 61,000 miles.
Only problem I have is the hood lifts are failing. (And i know OEMs are prone to this).

Can someone please provide me / confirm the OEM Part Number for a 2000 Lexus ES300 (or 97-2001 series) Hood Lift / strut? I'm not looking to replace it myself - but I would prefer to purchase the part before hand and take it to the dealer without having them be required to fit in an aftermarket part with drilling /etc.
I googled what appears to be the OEM part number that I obtained from my the lift on my vehicle - and found a hit or 2 on ebay - but they are only listed as trunk lifts. So my concern is, are the same lifts used for trunk and hood - or was a part substituted in the past and that is why the hood is not staying open.

Thank you for your help.

So these lifts that you purchased from ebay - did they require any drilling or do you literally mean a direct replacement (old lift out/new lift in?). That would work out perfect - are there any identifying marks on these lifts to point out make or brand? Do you recall the seller? Thanks for the info!

Thumbs up hood struts

Direct replacement NO DRILLING! took me 15 min to install with simple hand tools go to Ebay motors parts and acessories and type in es300 hood struts and pick a seller with a high feedback score and buy them, EASY!!!! make sure you get them for your year of es300 and no I do not remember the seller but there were lots of them for sale it is a common part, I got mine for 28.00 but some were going for as much as 40.00 for the pair
