Manual Phone Book Entry?
Well, my '01 RX300 got totaled, no fault of mine, and I walked away from the accident, which is a great thing.
Scored an '05 330 with Nav and less than 27K miles, CPO. (Bamboo Pearl, which means I have peeling door handles to replace. Chrome handles would look nice, as I have chrome wheels.)
My phone's a Droid, and I don't think it will transfer the book all at once. I really only need 4 or 5 numbers in the book, which I'll gladly do manually... but I've searched and cannot find out how to do it. If it's simple, it isn't obvious to me.

Someone on the 3G RX forum had a similar problem and was able to solve it in the following link:

If you save your contacts to your sd card, you can transfer the file to the RX phonebook.

(I wasn't getting a permission request as suggested in dadcat1's link. But thank you.)
Thank you for the help!!

The owner of my RX 350 had an Iphone and had all of their phone numbers stored in the database when I bought it. Nobody had ever cleared this info. There were a TON of names in there, no I would assume they did not manually type all of these contacts in (although possible I guess). So I would bet there is a way to easily and quickly transfer the contacts on an Iphone to the phone book.

That's a good cautionary tale about clearing info out before folks get rid of their cars. My 330 had waypoints of the previous owners' and their acquaintances in the nav memory. First time I sat in it, even before I decided to buy it, I cleared all of that out.

Good thing to do with loaners too.
