wtf?! I ordered these Supra shocks for my '92 SC300...

it said that the shocks will fit a '93 supra, so i ordered these for my '92 SC3. I recieved them and installed the fronts with no problem.

Today when i opened the other 2 boxes to look at the rear shocks....i realized that the bottom mounting point isen't even forked like the sc300 shocks!! wtF??! What did i do wrong? i thought 93+ Supra shocks fit on all years of the SC300???

I also bought some 93-98 Supra lowering springs and notticed that the bottom half of the rear springs is narrower than the mounting plate.

can anyone tell me why this happened? my car's on jackstands right now, and i'm stumped.

The ad lists the 93 year by mistake or it could be that they included the 93 as a mark3 Supra because the mark4 came out in 93.5/94. They are clearly for a mark3 Supra as they do not even make kyb gr2 for 93.5/94-98 Supra.

It states thet its for a MKIII

Vehicle Application: 3/86-93 TOYOTA Supra (86 automaticaly makes it MKIII)

Does that mean we can use front MKIII Shocks on the SC's ?

only MK4 supras fit.

93.5 onwards.

to be sure they fit always search for 94+

what everyone else said..you ordered them for the wrong year..

LEX MAN, I am sure you can use the MK3 Supra fronts, there was another member here a while back that posted up the same EXACT issue as this and he kept the front shocks, and just ordered new rears for the MK4..so he was running MK3 front shocks with MK4 springs all around and MK4 rear shocks.

this sucks major *****. i wasen't aware that the MK4 came out in 93.5/1994.


so i have 2 rear shocks/springs that i cant even use/return, and a car with the *** poking up.

Guess now im on a mission to supraforums to hopefully find someone selling mk4 rear susp parts.

To answer the question above, yes MK3 fronts bolt onto the SC/MK4... because they use MK4 fronts to bolt on their MK3's...

If you sell just the rears of those MK3 shocks cheap let me know... Im local-ish.

So the MKIII front assembly fits the sc's ? Or just the shocks ? What about the top hats and the 3 bolts that bolt on top?

i don't think mk4 rear shocks/struts will fit the SC300 unless you have the mk4 springs b/c i have mk4 springs that i wasn't aware of at first and ordered some SC300 shocks/struts. the front fits fine but the mk4 springs in the rear didn't line up w/ the SC300 shocks/struts. i was just like ***** it, so now i've been running it like that for over 2 years now lol...
