You have a question mark at the end? So is the verdict that LFA is the car of the year?? Please confirm.

If so, that is just unbelievable. Simply astonishing. Just phenomenal.

Runs to bookstore

I can't see it winning, they have fapped to the 458 that few can match

Can you please let us know who won? Some order in which they placed the cars would be nice as well and their thoughts on LFA.

We've got a subscription, but this one hasn't arrived yet. Wife tells me the subscription cover of the magazine is different than what is in the bookstores though.

Definitely, a huge disappointment. It should have been in the top 3 atleast.

I dunno about disappointment. Ferrari is probably pissed again (they have vocally dissed EVO) that they lost again. The 2 Porsche's are already incredible cars but they have that one thing the LFA and 458 don't.

A manual

I have yet to read the article but I'm just happy to see the LFA included. I know in a previous year the IS F was also included. Great to see Lexus in this rare air!

Did they give rankings for cars below the top 3?? If so, can you please let us know where they placed the LFA??

It also looks like they tested the 2012 R35.2 GTR for this one.

i am not surprised if lfa doesn't win, it probably won't. i am a bit surprised the gt3rs won over the 458 though, i thought ferrari had a real good shot at it with the 458 (of course, if mike's info is right)

i wonder if manual is really that important for evo to sway gt3rs over 458?

looking at the list on past year's car, i think i would recognize two cars: nsx-r in 2002 and gtr in 2008. they pretty much crossed the league and snapped the award from the big dogs

That has worried me since the first comparo appeared. The price point.

Though, it is all fine and dandy that a Japanese supercar Lexus LFA is right next to all the other European cars, it is priced much higher than all of them so that rather makes the modest thought irrelevant as to whether LFA is counted amongst these supercars or not. It puts itself in a position to be a much bigger impact in the market than it is able to make in real life. This always begs the question whether LFA is delivering on its promise or not?

Nissan GTR and NSX-R have managed to win that in the past with tough competition for their respective times. Yet, LFA could not. That does say something.

I have not yet looked at the performance numbers and lap times etc., but comparisons like these where LFA does not fare well against much cheaper cars only reaffirm what the naysayers say that LFA is way over priced despite all the gizmos like carbon fiber etc., it way under delivers on its primary promises compared to cars without such gizmos like 458 Italia.

interesting point, i actually didn't think that much on the price point. i just think overall as a car, while the lfa is a good car performance, but on quite a few other aspect (whether we like it or not), it loses out to some of the euros.

with the price point, i guess it's a tough call. it's definitely a lot of money, it's a car that only very few people can really think about buying. it does has a lot of cool stuff that no other supercars have though
