Default GX 470 Navigation system location and upgrade

I want to purchase a DVD to upgrade the current 2003 GX 470 navigation system in my car but don't have an idea where the navigation disc player is located to upgrade it. Can some please help me out with the navigation system location and also what version to purchase. Dealer what's to charge me $500 to update it. Any help with be appreciated.

They are going a bit over board there. The Nav Computer that holds your nav disc shows its location below the seat on the passenger side between the fron and back seat. There is a small cover you remove and a button that you press to eject the old DVD. You then insert the new DVD and the sysyem updates itself with the latest upgrade you install.

Currently thats the 10.1 V. dvd that we offer at 180.00 shipped.

WOW!!!!! five bills to eject a dvd and pop in a new one?!?!?!?!?!

that's obscene! i have a garmin with lifetime updates. i rely on that. the lex nav system is pretty much useless.

I have a 2004 GX 470 with the original Navigation DVD. Other than getting updated maps, are there any other upgrades with the latest Navigation DVD (part # = PT219GEN23-10).

Seriously dude you need walk right over and tell your dealer and whoever told you that to go F**** themselves--that is rediculous! It takes 30seconds to do that update and thats while you drink your beer! Grab the disk for 180 bucks and do it
I would avoid them at all cost for anything after that crap.

if you shop around you should be able to pick one up for about 100 bucks.

Need help 2004 gx 470 I moved passenger seat all the way up removed the cover flap on the dvd player there is a slide
button that moves the flap up and exposes where the disk is, but i cant find any button to press to eject the disk.

I have the same issue with the cd magzine. I open the glove box slide the cover of the magazine over magazine does not move or eject I cant find any eject button . Cd player on dash says cd error when you select cd.


Appreciate any help I have searched forum and cant find solution,

Get your head down there and look closer. It is "an inny" for lack of a more technical term. Almost like a reset button you have to stick a paper clip in.
