Question

I have a mechanic friend who keeps telling me not to put the lowering springs on my car because the ride won't be as nice... Any thoughts from you fellas who have had it done? Ramsee1

Whats up ramsee1 I have Eibach lowering springs (1 inch drop) and tokico perfromance struts with 40 series tires and it rides pretty good I mean you feel it alot more when you hit a bump or a pothole but other than than it rides fine another reason my my car rides a bit rough at times is because I opted for performance struts rather than say monroe senstracs the tokicos are very stiff they don't give much I will be installing sensatracs pretty soon with my lowering springs It should soften things up a bit.

lobo- that's cool. I am curious if the difference is that great lowering 1-1.6 inches. Something I guess I will have to find out for myself. I think the year after mine (97), lexus put in the option for dialing in the stiffness of the struts. I'm thinking of putting 17s on my car. 18's quite frankly are a little out of my price range with the tires and all. I have some other items coming in as well: Ractive strut bar and intake. I am looking into an ECU upgrade and trans upgrade.

ramsee1- Hey bro 18's are not that much more than 17's check out www.superbuytires.com and www.victoriatire.com they have really good prices check out limited wheels on superbuytires they make very nice wheels for very good prices also MKW and there are alot of others as for tires check out www.tirerack.com and www.discouttiredirect.com look at the kumho ecsta supra 18's only cost $130 a piece and yokohama parada $138 a piece you just have to shop around, I have a custom built forced air induction intake on my car that my cousin designed he has the same car, and I have a magna flow exhaust but I am looking for a new exhaust something that isn't so loud. I am not sure if 1.6 would be to low I want my car low but to too low.

Thank you, Sir. I was on Victoria tire and found a nice set of wheels. I think when I get a set it's going to be a 5 star design. I've never spent over 75 for a tire... Don't know if I want to start, but ya never know. Do you have any input on the finish or kind of metal that's good or not good to get on a wheel? I like the high polished look, but don't know if chrome is a good way to go. Ramsee1

Whats up ramsee1 I like chrome because it is the easiest to clean and it looks the best but it depends what look you are going for My car is never going to be very fast it is more of a pimp car but if you want the raced out look go with a body kit wing , silver finish rims look the best in my opinion with that kind of style just go with what you like and don't let anyone tell you what you should get any more questions just ask bro.

hey guys sorry for the delay in my response well I dont have any updated pics, the only pixs i got right now is my members area at http://www.lexusfans.com due to the fact that i'm doing all this new stuff to the car. As far is 1.6" goes I think its fine lower even  My friend got a Es and he put 1.75" drop from a 93 V6 Camry I believe its Intrax springs. If you really dont like a stiff ride then get those Struts from http://www.rodmillenstore.com/

What sux is they dont have alot of high performance stuff lexus. But i had a 95 accord vtec and did all the crazyness and riced up things. To me its always better to be authentic. (LEXUS RACING) hey to me lexus should make the ES, IS, SC performance and leave the GS, LS as the bib poppa luxuries. just my thoughts IF you notice there are alot more shops suping up lexuses now especially es and Sc's before you couldnt no more than a 1' drop now u got 1.6 Keep it going
