Default Can a weak battery cause car to act up??????????????????????????????????

Now I dont believe it myself but I thought I would ask you guys anyways.

Someone told me the problems I am having with my car might be caused by weak battery.

ECU throwing codes-problems starting and car stalling.

When I turn the key into the on position the battery light stays on along with a few other lights such as engine light and oil light.

When I get bad starts the battery has more than enough power to crank the engine for long periods of time so it does not seem weak to me, I have had weak batteries and my car has no symptoms of a weak battery except for the light.

I have already replaced my "tps" and will be replacing my "ecu" tomorrow.

Should I try to replace my battery first before buying the "ecu" and paying for my labour?

How could a bad or weak battery cause a car to stall out? Doesnt make sense to me.

Or is what this person telling me about my battery complete nonsense?

Like I said my battery seems very strong to me, lots of power.

You could always test your battery. But before you start your car the on. It throws several lights just because. Once you start your car if the light is still on then your have a problem

Yes, a bad battery will cause the car to die randomly, my battery was bad and the car died while driving many times.

Yes if you mean re-setting the "ecu" by disconnecting the battery to erase the codes than yes I have done that.

And really? A bad battery would cause a car to stall out? How and why?

And could a bad battery cause the car to throw engine codes and give trouble starting?

Even though the car is cranking at high speed with lots of gusto?

I am very surprised to hear this!!!!
