My Fix for a broken Cupholder Arm
My LS430 was missing the LEFT cupholder Arm ever since I bought the car used. After researching how much Lexus wanted for a new cupholder $120, I decided to fix it myself.
I bought a $2.49 pack of 4 generic Hang style cupholders from Advanced Autoparts. Then I cut up one of the cupholders to make an "Arm" then I drilled two holes and screwed it in. After a little trimming with a utility knife the Arm would fold nicely into the Armrest.

I love displays of ingenuity! Very nice work.
And by the way I love the LS in almost all ways, but these factory hideaway cup holders suck...hurricane force.

A little ghetto, but ingenius nonetheless... good job. You could have shaved off the excess flash on the edges to make it a little smoother.
So I guess you're limited to 12 oz. cans of soda now. A grande coffee probably won't fit.

It does look a little ghetto in the pics because of the Flash..
I plan on painting the screw black and sanding the top edge smooth..
During my Drive into work it held my coffee cup in-place.

I'm laughing no more! My cup holder arm broke off on the pasenger side.
Looks like I will try for the plastic and two screw fix or may go for the "soft piece" suggestion.
Will get it fixed properly when I get rich and famous... Ha!
