I would say you could very likely get every car in that lineup to win and/or come in last with simple driver swaps... Driver skill >> car capability in almost any race.

i completely agree. of course extra horsepower and a powerful engine helps, but its all in the mind of the enthusiast. if you think you can win, it doesnt matter what you got under the hood. mind over matter anyday!

wow, 4th place. i'd argue it should of been in 3rd behind the corvette and M3. it got 0/10 for no handbrake... i mean at least be fair, give others 0/10 for lack of automatic transmission, 4 doors, or even a spare tire

What a surprise BMW M3 is #1. Road and Track is so biased to BMW it is sickening. They should rename it to BMW & Track.

Couldn't agree more, one of their longterm reviews of the IS-F revealed an unusually high mpg on road trips and wondered if it hand anything to do with the 8 speed transmission

Riveting journalism!

Cool R&T: Sultans of Slide ..IS-F included

http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/co...ltans_of_slide

Pretty cool article..IS-F was the only auto included, they loved it.

It finished 4th but if you look at the scores however it finished less than 1 point behind the Nismo 370Z. So a tie for 3rd basically.

Yup I read this article - very nice and shows why the M3 is still the undisputed KING no matter how you drive the car!

I can't imagine how you drift an auto IS-F with a foot parking brake. Author says they just flick it but damn u need some mad skillz to do that - I would probably crash the car! haha
