Default Difference in FSport Brakes for 250 and 350?

Hi,

Need your help.

What's the difference between fsport brakes for IS350 and IS250? The part numbers are different.

IS350 FSport
PTR09-53083-01
PTR09-53081-01

IS250 FSport
PTR09-53080-01
PTR09-53082-01

Thanks

They use different size pistons in the 250 and 350 calipers.

even though the pistons are smaller on the F-Sport IS250 version, is the physical size of the caliper the same as the IS350 version?

The caliper is the same part, it's an ST-60 StopTech caliper.

hmm ... well, since the discs, calipers, and the price are the same (ive always seen one price listed...), might as well buy the 350 version to get the bigger pistons (if you have a is250...)

you cant just buy a 350 caliper and fit it on a 250.

the piston size is different for a reason. stoptech test each vehicle with different size and determine which one works best. most likely the master cylinder is different between a 350 and 250.

actually yes you can. There are many members of this forum who own an IS250 and have bought the 350 brake kit for a BBK look for a cheaper price...

Could you put IS250 FSport Brakes on an IS350? Would there be any noticeable difference in performance?

Why would you put the 250 kit on the 350? Sure, it'll bolt up, but Stoptech took the time to engineer a specific application for use on the IS250, why not take advantage of that? There will be absolutely no performance benefit from doing this - on the contrary, you could actually be worsening your braking performance by not using the kit designed for your car.
