Candy Land at Dealer: Five SC's 2003-2007 in a row!!! :)
nice collection at local dealer this morning...if anyone's in the market, Park Place Lexus has a TON of great SC's for sale. 03, 04, 05, 06 and 07 in a row
The first silver one with the chrome pie plates is a 2003 CPO with 50k miles for like $25k. Not a bad deal at all! You can certainly find cheaper but it is pristine and with some wheels/tails it could look like a 2006 easily. CPO too.
They had another in the "make ready" that was just sold...2007 black/camel.
Their prices are outrageous on the newer ones... 2005 with 34k miles for $39,995 CPO blue/ecru. I paid $30k for my 2005 PB Edition with same miles and CPO!!! wow...
I spoke to my sales guy there and he laughed about the strange phenomenon of used car sales just KILLING new car sales and said he was glad he is selling used cars right now. He said they can't keep SC's on their lot quick enough and that these five would probably be gone by next week.
Just a few weeks ago they had a 2007 PB white/red CPO with 15k miles for $45k and sold it at FULL PRICE! wow...
Funny thing I forgot to mention too--the salesman has sold about a dozen used SC's in a year and he didn't know that the 2006+ were any different, he just said he kinda thought there were some differences. LOL...I pointed out everything to him and he told me I should be selling them!
Lexus!!! i believe bought a 2002 just within two miles (next door to Davenports for you Dallas-ites) at a wholesaler for $11k cheaper than the 2003 they are selling at the dealer! Proves the point about mileage/year cutoff on nice used SC's at wholesalers. We are going to see this trend continue to proliferate as we enter into 2010. 2003-2004 will be $10k cheaper at your nearest wholesaler than at your friendly L-Dealer!
No...I offered the dealer selling the 02 NM $20k for it, and Lexus!!! (that's his CL name) just bought the black 02 with 80k at a wholesaler in Plano--I think you and I talked to him about it if I'm not mistaken on another thread.

+1, can't believe how sales people do not know the product. You're probably in the 99th percentile concerning the SC430 product line. Most people on this forum know more than Lexus sales consultants. My question is, how can you sell a dozen of the same model and not know their differences

Like anything else, I guess, exceptional people are hard to find, and that definitely includes car salesmen. When hiring, it's important to find people that love the company and the cars, not just the money from selling them.
it's ok...IMHO PP is inferior in so many ways to Sewell. The used car center is just a bunch of offices...nothing spectacular. Their new showroom is nice though.
Sewell offers more flexibility with loaner cars (ES, IS and RX), appointments (same day) can do oil changes while you wait, car washes are better and free drinks, better magazines, free computers to use and wifi. Just my opinion.

You folks in the Dallas area are so fortunate to have so many Lexus dealers to choose from! In VA , they are all sixty to eighty miles apart and the level of service is spotty from one dealer to the other
