I'm close to purchasing a 2004 LS430 Flint Mica Grey/Grey Interior with 71k miles on it. No accidents, but 3 owners. I drove the car and its seems like its brand new and well taken care of by the previous owners. The guy selling it purchased the car 2 years ago for $34k with 61k miles on it so he thinks he's giving the car away to me after only putting on 10k miles in two years.
Not sure what package the car has but it has keyless go, mark levinson, nav, rear camera, bluetooth, sunshade, rear ac/heated seats, chrome rims.
I've been able to negotiate him down to $18,500 and scheduled an inspection with Toymasters here in SoCAL to take a look at it before I buy it.
Just wanted to know if this is a good deal or not or if I should keep shopping. I have about 1 month left on my current lease, but over mileage and that's why I've been looking for a car.
thanks for the comments. The car does check out on autocheck with no accidents. the seller guarantees the car is clean and with no mechanical issues so if there are any issues he is willing to pay for the inspection and reduce the price.
Mileage a little high (not for an LS overall) and close to 100K service. Other than that, if condition checks and inspection comes in clear, then $18K is a very good price. I got my '04 a year back with 36k for $28K, so losing $10K is pretty good (or bad, depending on if you're buying or selling).
