I sold my GS 430 to one of the Sonic MS boys...... I'm have a opportunity to get a 2007 LS 460L but I'm wondering if 20-inch wheels is too small? Has anyone done this yet or is 22's the standard for the LS 460 series.
I think optical illusion has A LOT to do with whether the wheels look big enough on the car.
With wheels that have prominent lips, which most people in this forum seem to prefer, I agree that 22", or at least 21" is the way to go.
The lips tend to make the wheels look smaller on the car due to optical illusion.
But with wheels with no lips, I think 20" already look big enough on the car, even a LS460L.
I'm trying to find aftermarket 20's to fit on my 7...but all the LS guys have wheels wayyyy too big for my rickety old 7...hubs won't be able to handle 20+ wheels for very long =( haha
Call me old fashioned, but I love that look! The 20's look very nice. I understand that 22's lowered looks amazing, but it's simply not feasible for everyday driving. I bet the wheels are much truer with this added pothole buffer too!
im looking at a new 2010 ls460l and was wondering can u drop them? coilovers? i wanna do rims but dont wanna have huge gaps above tires. i will probably go with vellano wheels in 22"
