Its a matter of preference. Quite frankly why not like 22s when you like ridiculous staggered on FWD saying "oh its flush" or 10 inch wide wheels with a 195 series tire or camber that makes the car sit crazy.
There are different styles and this is clearly the "Dub" go big way. Am I am fan? Nope. I do understand though the style and some people like it just as much as some of pretty odd things people endorse here b/c their friend did it.
thanks man, i seriuosly have done every thing i can too get the car as low and flush on 22s as i can and still drive the car places and i still have to take it easy going around turns but imo it looks great and everywhere i go im turning heads!
22's on a GS it not my thing, but once you like it thats all. Sure you may get flame, but at the end of the day its what you like . But 22's on a GS I must say that your tranny is not going to last long and you tranny oil is not also, plus thats a lot of stress on your steering rack that may be something you may want to look into. They say that you should only go 2'' from your stock rim size so our cars come with 18' s so 20's is not bad. Anyway keep doing your thing .

Not only wear and tear, but I'm wondering how much extra weight 22's add.....
if your trans goes, it wont be under warranty anymore. they will blame the oversized wheels as the problem.
This setup is running around 8% off from stock. I recommend my customers to stay within .5% of stock !!!! If this is not serious, I'm not sure what is.
As an example, in order to get your 22's with the correct fitting diameter tires, you would have to run 195-20-22 all the way around !!!
First, that would give you no sidewall, second, there are no tires made in that size.
Sometimes I have to say "just because you can doesn't mean you should"....
It's not even a matter of preference, it's a matter of functionality....
