This is the chance for Lexus to take a chance and lead the others in this.
Even more of a reason to have it. I say Lexus goes all out and does both touch screen like they have now and joystick...give the driver the choice. That would perfect for a car like the LS, GX and LS.
While I agree with the second bit, your first point makes no sense. Do it just to be first even though it is completely unnecessary?
Geez it's one single pic. We still have no info on it. Maybe it's a
base model. We have no idea.
Jump to conclusions mat anyone?
let's hope it's a base model b/c the past GX you only have choices in the 2 leather/3 wood color. Regardless, it is a let down-my beef with the center console.
I hope the finished product does resemble the pic......... It should keep the resale values up on the 03-09 GX's. IMO, Lexus goofed: It's very boxy and does not flow well
There are plenty of squared-off interiors in Lexus' past, LS, GS, among them...the new LX has it as well, with the exception of the flared-out A/C vents. Perhaps some would have preferred the swoopy RX style, but I have no doubt that this design will not bother 2GX customers a bit. It does however resemble the Prado interior.
i agree that this is a step up, but the LX has a very gorgeous interior, as it should for its price. looks like there is some sort of remote controller in the cup holder, wonder if it will have the RX styled dual screen RSE.
The remote in the cupholder is probably to control the DVD flip down screen.

That new GX interior is disappointing, the current GX interior is a classic. Lexus should have just improve on it instead of totally changing. I am sorry, that new interior doesnt not belong in a $55000 luxury SUV.

If by "classic" you mean that it's an exact copy of the previous-gen Prado interior, than yeah having a copy of a Toyota interior in a Lexus is definitely "classic" .
What I mean to say is that it is a classic design to have the two vertical wood or aluminium trim on either side of the center controls. Some new car designs are still using this concept.
