These a cheap for what they are, but they leave a lot of small fibers on static surfaces (like glossy LCD screens, eyeglasses, etc). I only use them for the car and nothing else.

The costco microfibers are a low-medium grade towel. They start out fluffy, but over time they will become more brittle and the fibers begin to separate. We use these towels to clean the engine bay, wheels, tires, carpets, etc. For the price, they can't be beat for a grunt towel. The paint on all Japanese cars, even ones made here, is very soft. A higher quality microfiber that's 400g and above should be used for the paint finish.

Been using costco towels for years. Once they get old or stained, they get used for rims or engine compartment. Def get a lot of use out of them.

My car is silver, so I can't say if they would be good on Dark or black cars.

I've always been tempted in getting them but never did pull the trigger. I just wasn't sure how good they were and I didn't feel like buying it in bulk and end up not liking it. More than once I've picked them up and inspected them but ended up putting it back. But then again there are many things at Costco that I've had to put back.

costco microfiber towels arent that great on paint. I do NOT recommend on using on paint. THIS WILL SCRATCH/SWIRL YOUR CAR. I only use it to clean my windows.
