I must admit that there is just about nothing on the Toyota lot that interests me very much except one vehicle. The Venza. This car is sharp. I'm a car guy, meaning I prefer a sedan or coupe, so there's always an element of compromise and less appeal with a CUV or SUV no matter how well done. But the Venza appeals to the car guy in me. In fact, if I were buying a new car today pretty much two cars would top my list, The Nissan Maxima and, you guessed it, the Toyota Venza.
From a styling standpoint I find that it is more Lexus than even the new RX. I love the low height coupled with the wide stance. The big 20" rims and when decked out with the panorama sunroof this car is pretty damn sexy.
I may buy one. That's how much I'm smitten by this car. It's the best thing Toyota sells as a Toyota. Can I get an Amen?
I definitely agree with you there. Ever since I first saw one, I thought it was a great looking vehicle. I'd definitely consider owning one once my family needs to get a new car.
I like it too I don't like the giganto grill on the front but everything IN the car is fantastic. If future Toyota interiors are built as well as the Venza they will be set.
The 2009 Toyota Venza is a new breed of vehicle, mixing crossover SUV attributes with a wagon. We think many families will find it to be pleasantly useful transportation.
Pros
Spacious interior, powerful and efficient engines, pleasant driving demeanor, comfy ride, innovative interior storage.
Cons
No third-row seat, can't tow or haul as much as other crossovers, dull driving experience
I still think the front grille is kind of odd, but i like the rear/side profile. I first saw the venza last year at Northstar on snow verts and i thought it looked great. Also, Im starting to see a lot of Venza's on the street, so toyota is doing something right.
Every time the fiance and I are out, we make sure to drive by the Toyota dealer to look at one. We freaking love this car. I like the wagon look, she likes that it's kinda tall. I haven't gotten to sit in one yet, but it looks really nice.
Though, if I were in the market for a wagon, I'd pick up a used V70R... T-T-T-turboooo
