anywho. im running aristo 97~ with 4spd trans and aristo ecu (uncut harness).
btw i havent driven it around yet until i get the speedo fixed. unless someone has traced the speedo wire for me and dont mind giving me some tips and pointers
thanks
if you guys out there are doing swaps please make note of this.
Here will be the info on what is done to my car. i bought a complete 97~ aristo vvti with trans and uncut harness and ecu. works like a charm. you will be looking to spend about $5000 to get the car run good. examples would be tuneup like timing, water pump, seals, and etc. another thing you would need to bolt up the propeller shaft to the car would be the 95 gs300/ls400 yoke (thats the 3 bolt looking thing). this piece only costed me 68 dollars at the junkyard. You would need a custom downpipe; at the moment I am making a custom gte vvti flange *NOTE: USDM Supra downpipes will not fit. You might also want to purchase a Speed limiter defencer, JDM motors speed limit on the motor is about 120 or so. Not Sure.
For the Harness it is a Plug and Play Harness loom, Everything will work accordingly but you lose your immoboliser and you will notice that you will also have an empty connector plug, dont worry about that for now. Once you hook up the harness and its ready for a start, you will notice your tacho and speedo is not working and so will you oil level light and washer fluid light will go on, this can be fixed by hooking up your tacho wire from the igniter (you probably will have to take the wire from the ge harness loom and re-pin it on the aristo loom) this will be hooked up the body harness. I have still yet to find the speedo wire.
The Immoboliser, you dont have to worry much. When I did research I have heard from some people that the car can not get into and Drive, or Park. I believe this is mainly the problem when you buy the Aristo Loom, when i had bought my loom I made sure that i get the orange and grey jumpers. (THIS IS HIGHLY CRITICAL) you will not be able to shift the shifter, your gauge warning lights will come on, and lastly you will not be able to go past 3000k rpm. This is a Jumper and not a Cover, I proved my mechanic wrong, LOL.
If you guys have any questions feel free to ask, I'll try my best to answer it with my knowledge. Please feel free to correct the information if I have mentioned incorrectly.
Here is the grey and orange plug. http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/IMG_0140.jpg
