b/c Lexus currently have only 1 "F" car... not much of a "F" line.
Well they are pretty new to the dedicated performance line (forget L-Tuned) game and they have to start somewhere. Sadly the market conditions currently aren't great...but i'm pretty optimistic about the "F" line.
The GS hybrid and IS are looking good, nice to see continual updates and additions to the IS line. LS hybrid, the grill I don't mind that much. It's not pretty, but it's not ugly, it's just ok. The GS hybrid grill I quite like, very interesting design.
LS front bumper change is certainly dissapointing, but good thing we won't be dealing with this for long since the LS gets a redesign soon. The regular LS facelift looks good however, especially the "F-Sport" package for the LS. I am also very interested in the detailed changes the GS hybrid received as well as the LS in general. From brochure pics the 2010 LS interior looks to be quite nice and improved.
As for criticism of the F cars, be patient everyone. Only 1 F car now, but soon the LF-A arrives as the top dog in the F lineup, and as a halo car for Lexus (and Toyota) in general. In a few years we are also supposed to be getting the GS-F. If the car arrives with the rumored V10 from the LF-A, it will be full of win.
I like the new rear, front doesnt look that bad either, remember these angles kinda distort proportions, im still waiting to see it in real lfie to make up my mind

Plus any new Lexus designs over the past few years have not been very photogenic.
With each new Lexus release or facelift, there is a very predictable pattern that usually occurs:
- pics with bad lighting/bad angles are posted, a lot of people criticize the design
- better pics are posted, more people like the design
- people see design in real life, even more like it
- people get used to the design on the roads, most people end up liking it
Most of the Lexus facelifts or new designs end up growing on people, because of the subtleties in the design that people start to notice and appreciate.
I feel like this grille COULD have worked if they relocated that top bar to the bottom to balance out the space.
Something like this:
Even with that, the new bumper I think takes away from the original luxurious look. Now it is more econobox. Also the fogs don't line up with the inlets anymore. It's as if the LS is drolling a bit.
