If you take note to Dave pics, you can see a small slit on the top side of the door cups..

On the GS any maybe other models too, there is an LED that lights up the door cups..

Joe Z
So Joe, are you trying to say the GS has an LED that illuminates the door cups?

The GS LED door handles will fit, but require some DIY wiring to work properly...

And there are about 2 who have done it before me too.

Another shot of the locks,

Dave can you post a pic of your Ls600h locks? I'm not sure whay you say the Is doesn't have chrome anywhere in the door lock section cause the handles are chrome but the lock piece itself is black plastic. All I did was change the lock piece with the one from the Ls460 and that left me with the whole opening pull handle/lock unit from the Ls.Is it possible they are different in Japan? Also I am asking if anyone has ever done this OEM equipment mod not the thinkdesing lock mod-afterall the name of my thread is " Ls 460 locks on my Isf" not "Thinkdesign Locks On My F" I've seen others with these but you were def the first on the F, I'm strickly talking about Oem ls460 locks not aftermarket

Joe, I looked at your post #10 and it doesn't say anything related to Happaboy's question.

I'm with you... I like them a lot as well...
&
I know your just busting my chops!!!

BTW - I was looking up the parts last night and it seems the LED light should be able to be ordered separately. Our door cups already have the slits in place for them…
As Javy mentioned, custom wiring would be needed for that deal.

Do you buy the pair for the front and rear? Or just 2 pairs of the front?

I guess a better way to ask ....

Did you buy just a left & right set ?? or are they 4 individual part numbers??

Anything you can post related to part numbers would be great.. I'm working on the part numbers for the LED back lights that can fit inside the interior door cup handles..

Joe,
The locks came in 4 different bags. They are marked different by location as follows RF RR LF LR...I have the original locks in the bags from the new ones. I will post down the part numbers for them tmrw for you...if there are multiply numbers I will post per specific side/location remember that the red stickers are NOT included with the locks so you will need those ordered also...FYI there regular plastic locks from the factory F's all come with the red sticker on them already from the parts dept.so do the gs rx sc is25/350 only these leather wrapped ones don't come with them on already

You misunderstood me, when I am talking about the locks I am talking about ,as you said "lock piece itself", and as you also said those parts are all black without crome. Again , I hate to inform you that my locks are also OEM locks, ThinkDesign just removes the black part and replaces that with sivler carbon. Again all my sivler carbon parts are completely 100% OEM parts, all they have is a pretty finish applied to them, so again I am telling you there are other people who have done this mod and you are not the first to do this on an "F", actually I am not really bothered if I am the first or if I did it before you, all I want to do is set the facts straight. I can post LS locks if like?

So what's involved in installing these things? Is the piece held on by screws accessible from the outside? Do I need to remove door panels if I'm not installing LEDs? TIA.
