however seoul's yellow looks pretty damn good on sgm
nahh it's looks cheap/rice
I think this mod is 1. inexpensive 2. good bang for the buck 3. it's all in the details and prep work to make it last long and look good
pictures of my calipers in post #19,i don't think it looks cheap at all.... once i need new pads i'm throwing on slotted rotors also.
i personally consider BBKs rice on the IS, there is no need, unless you track your car, and if you are a real serious person on the track you wouldn't be bringing your IS to the track! you'd bring something more race and not luxury. thats how i look at it anyway.
durability is awesome, the paint i used is this G2 DIY paint system, the paint is super thick and you just gotta clean them off right and then let the paint cure for 24 hours before driving and it won't come off just like that duplicolor painting ppl do to calipers.
heres the caliper paint i bought. it says the paint is resistant up to over 900 degress and comes with everything you need, brake cleaner, brush, catalyst for the paint, so that sold me and its $36.99. so far its been... 2 months no problems what so ever, still looks awesome
(thanks to the poster below me for fixing my error :P haha \/ \/ )

This is an easy mod. that can look OEM, or not, if that's what you're looking for. I tend to agree durability depends mostly on the attention to the prep. of the caliper so an extra can or two of brake cleaner is good to have around . I used some POR15 (gloss black) that I had left over from another project and it looks great after 2 years. POR15 looks and is nearly as durable as powder coating.
IMHO our calipers should've been powder coated from the factory like they did with the IS-F.
I agree. I will be painting my calipers black soon. Although im still debating whether to slap on decals.
*side note*
Where is a good place to order those decals from?
i got my stickers from motogfx. they are very nice stickers... a little big in my opinion. if u want something more OEM looking u gotta get a smaller sticker(for the IS350 calipers anyway) ebay has a bunch of them.
