Default 99 GS300 "Brake" "VSC" "ABS" "VSC OFF" light on

Hey guys I have a 99 GS300 with the BRAKE ,VSC, ABS, AND THE VSCOFF light on and the brake pedal is really hard. You really have to step on it hard to get it to stop. There are no codes present. Does anyone know if it could be a common problem.
Thank you in advace...

if the abs light goes on, it wil automatically turn off ur VSC and tell u that ur VSC is disabled because the VSC system uses ur abs to control the spin.

if ur brakes feel weird, get them checked, could be ur master brake cylinder, could be the abs sensor. its hard to say since u said u got no cel.

The brake pedal gets hard and i can't get it to stop, and theres a loud and annoying continuous beep. I was able to retreive the ABS sys codes here they are: C1223 ABS SYS FAULT, C1256 ACC. PRESS LOW, C1252 HYDRO-BOOST PUMP MOTOR FAULT, and C1251 PUMP MOTOR LOCKED. I clear the codes and the fist two come back right away i don't even have to drive it.

Hi, I just bought a 99 GS300 with the same lights on only my brake pedal is very soft. Can you tell me how you got the brake codes off the computer and if you changed the master cylinder to cure it?

THanks,
Jonathan

Thanks. I assume the soft pedal (gets harder when pumped) means there is some leakage past the piston. The current booster shows markings from a junkyard. Best case they bought a crappy booster. The seller showed a receipt from the toyota dealer where the dealer commented "booster is junk, came from a junkyard." My fear is something else is wrong with the car causing it to EAT boosters. Is this possible? Should I check anything before spending the $$$ for a new one?

AbS sensor could be busted..no CEL code you need a special ODB2 reader for that

i had the same problem after installing my coilover, check behind the front rotors and see if the abs wire is bent or too tight

I have the same issue as the original poster, but add the loud constant beep. Brake pedal is stiff and barely slows the vehicle.

Dealer previously told me (one year ago) the master cylinder needed to be replaced based upon the codes.

Any suggestions on used parts if that is the case?

Default VSC/ABS/VSC Off Lights On

I have a 98 Lexus GS300. I just replaced the inner lower control arm bushing. Now when I start the car, the VSC/ABS/VSC Off indicators are on. I scanned for a CEL code but no code is found. I test drove the car and it runs fine even up to 100mph. How can I get this reset or resolved. Thanks!

I did this before and you need to do a zero point calibration to clear the lights. Do a search on how to do a zero point calibration. I got my instructions off Bahamutcars that has now been shut down but I'm sure there will be a link somewhere.
