The owner - Tony Stewart (british race car driver, NOT the nascar guy) of CIR spent the $ on a proper exhaust system for CIR to allow gas karts indoors. MPGP skipped the exhaust system and got aound this issue by using propane karts. The grip is better at CIR meaning the driver's racecraft is tested at the limit, like racing should be.
Then there is that safety issue I have sitting next to a 20 pound tank of propane. They could have at least used a steel braided line from the propane tank to the engine.
BTW...I am a customer and am no way affiliated with CIR although at times I feel I should be.

I should also note that I am in no way trying to bash Melrose Park Grand Prix - if you've never been indoor karting, by all means - try out MPGP but please also try out Chicago Indoor Racing (either Buffalo Grove or Addison) and judge for yourselves.
I go often enough that if I had to choose it would be CIR hands down.
I'm just thinking that most of you have not gone kart racing before, any exposure to this great sport is good. Try it out!

okay I just called:
Its 70$ per person (Normally 80$) we need 8 people or more.
First race is 15 laps each person
then the top 10 (hope we have more then 10)
Race for 30 Laps for the winner
They open at 3pm on Saturday and pretty much have most times open right now.
Other option is we just do open race with everyone that is there and we may get broken up as a group?
If anyone wants to call link is on first page and I spoke with Beth.
