Update with pics to follow. Got the piston rings on and the pistons in. Upper oil pan, baffle and pickup are on. Gotta get another tube of FIPG today to put the lower oil pan on.
Waiting on the head to get back from the machine shop. Progressing nicely.
For anyone who's replace the rear main seal...it is tough to get out. Fits nicely, but a real pain. Enjoy.
Got the cylinder head back (nice and shiney). Got a valve and valve seat grind, new stem seals and re-shimmed.
Head is on with ARP hardware. I'm just waiting on getting the valve covers chromed.
Huge props for Stu Hagen and the awesome rebuilt stock twins I just got. They look spankin brand new.
The holdup right now is the rear main seal. I put the new one in, but managed to dent it a little bit. It looks ok, but I'm not going to chance it. Getting a new one and putting it in correctly.
So I take it your goal is 400 rwhp max with the stock twins?
What makes you think 400 is the max for the stock twins?
I am just suprised that you got a set of bone stock twins from Stu, no modified compressor wheels, wastegates, anything? Lol, thats not like the twins king...haha.
Your build looks promising, nice work, looking forward to more progress.
Sorry, I should have been more clear. These are not bone stock. They are upgraded. Same upgrade that Stu has on his car. 20psi/450pump gas. TT auto can't take anymore than that.

Head on
Valve covers are next. Dirty.

Consider this a "before shot" still trying to decide on black or silver but they will definately shed the Supra and bear the Lexus moniker.
