JoeZ is still a bit on the louder side, but you can't go wrong with the F Sport considering its only an axle back

Just curious. Have you considered buying a new Joe Z? As you already know how much F Sport exhausts cost, a brand new Joe Z will most likely be much cheaper than a used F Sport.

I tried, they are only selling it as cat-back (at least in stock). If demand for a $1500 system outpaces production there is little to no reason for them to sell a single element of that system for $600

out of curiosity, what is that mean? some ppl only want the axel back or can only afford the axel back. It wasn't until recently that the awd mid pipe was available, so awd owners could only buy the axel back.

It was meant that they got a whole shipment of "full" systems in and sold all but 2 pretty quickly. If i was a manufacturer of anything i would rather make and sell a full 1600 part instead of a single component of that system for less money and profit if i had to choose.

HOWEVER after speaking with them further it looks like they will have stock of axle back exhausts in around mid October.

There is a demand for both full and just axle back. A good manufacturer would take advantage of this and sell both to make the most money.

There are new ones to be had. I just picked up a brand new axle back JoeZ yesterday from Carson. Last I heard, they had ordered 4 axle backs and all but 1 is left so you should contact them soon if you want it.

Why do some people prefer only an axle back instead of a full exhaust system? To decrease the noise?

Less expensive, not as loud and have the option to go louder down the road by buying a mid pipe.
