Earlier this year, we showed it to you in spy photos--now Toyota execs confirm the 2010 Lexus RX will get its world debut at the 2008 Los Angeles auto show in November.
The new Lexus RX won't vary too widely in styling from the current vehicle, if our spy shots on file hold up. The updated version takes on more of Lexus' "L-finesse" styling concepts; the most striking revision seems to be in the rear pillar and taillamps.
We do expect the refinement and the overall driving satisfaction of the 2008 Lexus RX 350 crossover to carry over. And of course, the new RX will come with a hybrid option. Other tech details, including engine displacement and transmissions, won't be released for a few weeks. We do expect the new RX to be about five inches longer, for better back-seat leg room.
Stay tuned as we cover the Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens to the media on November 19th.

Wow, this is surprising to me. I always thought even our '99 RX300 had great rear leg room and it was cool how the rear seats could slide forward/back.
Anyway, looking forward to this launch, as I think that besides the LS, the RX is Lexus' best vehicle and like the LS it really changed the automobile market.

Considering the fact the RDX (compared to the RX) has over an inch of more rear leg room and is within less than an inch in all other interior measurements, I think the RX can afford to and should get an increase in size to compete more with the MDX, X5 and ML in size, even if it still won't offer a 3rd row.
This link no longer works. The last time it was used for a premiere, in early 2008, was for the debut of the LX 570. Will they webcast the next RX debut?

Plus making the RX bigger will 'make room' for a new baby ute that Lexus is likely to come out with.
this was on thepassionatepursuit.com earlier this week. i thought it was interesting.
