Default Ipod Kit for 07 RX350

Talking to my dealer the other day, they mentioned that an IPOD adaptor is NOW available for the 2007 RX350 and it is a Lexus Part with a Lexus part #.

Can anyone confirm this and if so, provide any information on it?

Thanks!

If the part doesn't exist, how can it have a Lexus part #?

Aside from that, check out the vaistech SL2i.

the part does exist..dealers have a actual toyota ipod adapter but if you use serious or xm satellite radio that will not work with the toyota ipod adapter. but there is an aftermarket ipod adapter that does exactly the same thing and u can still use satellite radio. and they are the same price..

Has anyone used this one? It is called isimple and is available at Best Buy -

I am not sure if I should go for this or the OEM Lexus part. My 08 rx350 has the mark levinson and nav, no satellite radio.

haven't seen any chatter about that kit here. it, like the lexus adapter, isn't compatible with satellite radio. if you don't care about that, would think it comes down to this or the Lexus part depending on price and whether you want Best Buy or Lexus dealer pulling your stereo head to install it.

Would have been nice if Lexus had just installed a $0.35 AUX in connector on the back of the standard radio.

Or, the AUX plus a short cable to the glove box, with a connector, for an additional $1.00!

Well, their sound system techs only have ears for ML or deep pockets. Yup, simple aux would have saved a lot us of us a lot of trouble and expense. Every after-market radio I can remember buying after 1980 has had aux's. Lexus is 25 years behind. Still have no final answer as to if the iSimple system works with a regular radio in a 2007 RX-350. Don't even get me going about remote starting.
