Man, my dad has a 1st Gen LX and it does nothing but sit in the garage or go to the local VFW and coffee shop! I have been trying to get him to mod it for years! The vehicle is very capable of some crazy stuff! Hats off to all your LX owners taking your rides off-road!

Hi,
I'm a newbie to the Forum but thought I'd add some photos of my LX470 in the Australian Outback. I have a 2000 model with 275,000kms on the clock. It's done about 100,000km off road towing our caravan which weighs about 3 tons. Still on stock standard suspension and only failure to date has been one coil pack! last trip involved 3 days travelling over 1600 kilometres of corrugated dirt road - Lexus suspension rules!!

^^^^^^ THAT IS SICK well not the caravan haha, but your truck looks great, I am guessing there is a lot of aftermarket support for landcruisers and lx470's where you are. And yes the lx can be pretty much bulletproof

Just went offroading in a totally stock lx470 today, well offroading to me a pure mud and grass track while raining, and i will say i love this truck even more. Even in the rutted road sliding around the ride was like you were on air haha, just need a whole new exhaust
