Default Lexus RX 2nd-Gen Color Chart and Brochures Archive

Here is the color chart for the 2nd-gen US-Spec RX. If you see an error please post it here and I will correct the page and graphic ASAP. You can upload a photo of your car by clicking on the graphic, then clicking on the appropriate camera icon next to your color.

If you need me to update the chart please post your model year (or production date), color code and a description or photo of your car. For now this is for US-Spec cars only, I will add other countries in the future.

Lexus updated the site with '09 colors (except hybrid). Boring. Everything stays the same so far.

I'm now including a brochure archive on my site. I plan to offer all years of Lexus RX brochures for your viewing pleasure.

Tom from Lexus of Portland graciously provided many Lexus brochures for me to scan and make available. The following years will soon be scanned for the Lexus RX: 2000-2005, 2008-2009.

I am still looking for anyone that has the years 1999, 2006 and 2007. That's only three brochures still needed to complete this archive. If anyone wanted to contribute, I would be more than happy to have someone buy a brochure on eBay and send it to me. I would scan it and then mail the brochure to the buyer (if they wanted). Let me know.

Also, I thought that the Truffle Mica color was on the 2008 Pebble Beach edition, but now they are calling it the 2009. Did I get confused about this?

SPINOUT:
I have a mint condition RX brochure for 2007; if you still need one, send me a PM and I can mail this to you for scanning; when you are finished you can mail it back to me.

I have a 2008 RX350 in Millennium Silver Metalic and your chart shows that it stops at 2007.

I think I got snaked by the Lexus website! I slacked and didn't update 2008 colors last year and tried to catch up recently... but the Lexus website is showing information for the 2009 RX, but 2008 everything else. I didn't notice.

I also didn't have the Desert Sage Metallic color up there, which was apparently exclusive for 2008 and discontinued for 2009.

So I bumped some of the new colors forward to 2009, with the exception of Brandywine Metallic which was new for 2008. Black Forest Pearl and Neptune Blue Metallic were discontinued for 2008. Let me know if I have this wrong.

Lastly, I think I bumped the Pebble Beach Edition a year ahead in confusion also. Lexus's website is not clear on the year for the PBE, and while it has all of the information for the 2009 RX it is laid out like the Pebble Beach is also a 2009, while it is truly a 2008. For reference, the 2008 PBE is available in Classic Silver, Obsidian Black and Truffle Mica.

The PB Edition is available for the 2008 ES models according to the latest Lexus Magazine.

Do you have any idea what the most popular color for the RX models would ?

I've got a Lexus press release from about a year ago showing that the PBE is for the ES and RX:

Not sure about production numbers for each car, they are only telling me Scion numbers at this point.

Question

spinout180, your chart is super! Just curious though as to whether it's possible to include the color code for the wheel (rim) colors too. A number of us are pulling our hair out trying to find silver paint color to match the rims and no one seems to know the color code from the factory including the dealers I've contacted. Without the paint code, the local paint shops can't even mix up a batch. Any suggestions?

Well, for now I have my hands totally full with just trying to fill the holes that I've already created for myself... but if anyone here knows the wheel paint code please shout it out.

It's called "Rootbeer *****" and it's available now at AutoZone. Pick up a quart or two and get the SC done this weekend. Post some pics.

Perhaps tfischer was wondering if you had even looked at the chart at the top of this page that contains all the color names and paint codes for the RX. It seems a little silly to ask a question in a topic where all of the information is presented right in front of you.

That being said, I can only guess here, but could the color you are looking for be one of these?

Desert Sage Metallic (2008)

Truffle Mica (2009)

Check out the chart at the top of the page, your answer will lie there. I don't see any other browns, though.
