more updates......

today i was able to get alot of stuff done.....more than i thought i would.

-we pulled the stock engine and trans but kept the wire harness so we can make the autronic harness for the gte/car.
-dropped the stock subframe and installed the supra TT 6spd frame
-installed supra brakes front and rear with steel braided lines
-removed the maze of power steering lines in driver side fender well

in the next couple of days im gonna pressure wash the engine bay and respray it a bright red (to compliment the te37 time attacks, the car is also gonna be sprayed black, and there will be some red accents here and there in the car such as cage and maybe bride seats).

sorry no pics, and i know this thread is failing cause of the lack of pics. just been really busy with work, life, practice and this car.

shifter sits nice. gotta do some sheetmetal work, but that should be easy.

right on, thanks. today i had to make a custom clutch slave bracket because the blitz twin plate clutch i have doesnt utilize the stock slave and fork setup. after a couple of failed brackets and measurements, i finally got it right to where they clutch seems to work. the twin plate clutch has a very soft pedal feel, but from what ive been told, its and on/off type clutch.

i had a 1jz in my s14 and it was fun and fast, but deep down, i always wanted the bigger 2jz because of its potential and bigger displacement.

i only have a few more things to do before i am done.
-bleed brakes
-turn the rotors
-reinstall dashboard
-finish the trans tunnel sheet metal

i talked to the autronic tuner here in hawaii, and he said the harness should take about a month and then it will be ready to fire up and tune.

yes, the steering wheel is also my favorite. it took me forever to find one, and its been in a few of my cars. im never gonna sell that thing, cause from what i was told....they discontiniued it.

the old ame's were sold. they were nice, but attracted too much attention while i was driving and parked. i dont like when people look at me when im driving, makes me uneasy . with the black time attacks and black paint job, i dont think i will stand out too much. i also decided to go with the stock oem kit, since i will be driving this car alot. clean, simple, and very road friend here in hawaii. i would put money that we have very crappy roads compared to you guys.

thanks for the good words, and i should have more pics up in a day or two. radiator brackets came in so i can finally mount the radiator securely.

quick updates. i havent worked on the car for the past 1-2 weeks because i was waiting for the driveshaft to get done and because i am getting ready for a couple of jiu jitsu comps.

today i got a call to pick up the driveshaft. picked it up and it looked good. i was able to install the driveshaft and it fit perfect. also all the interior has been put back in. i also got the car to crank over and it sounds good.

all thats left is to install gauges, bleed brakes, install serpentine belt and thats about it. oh yeah, and to finish the exhaust.

the autronic harness should be done in a week or two, hopefully, and it will be tuned shortly after. the magic number i want to hit is 600whp.

i still have a bunch of pics on my camera that i havent had the chance to upload, but i will do so in a few days.
