Problem: Oil leaks from area where Bank-1 cylinder head, engine block, and timing chain cover meet.
Repair: Remove the timing chain cover, and reseal it (they use a liquid sealant that's analogous to window caulking).
The repair: Add noise filter to circuit. Install newly designed AUX jack.

Thanks for posting this one, all of them actually, but this one, part of me feels like e-mailing it to several at corporate and one dealer with a few #$@%^&* words for the normal operation of an ES350 claims made.

Several questions here. When looking at the VIN does only the last 6 apply? For example, VIN 177232 would be included but 177234 would not? My VIN is JTHBJ46G*72125360 (2007). Does this mean my VIN would fall under the TSIB for the motor mount? I do experience slight vibration in P and R but just always assumed it was normal. Of course, $40K you would expect not. Thankfully, I have fallen above the VIN's for the transmission (72064871) if I'm reading it right. If my car falls above the VIN cutoff does this mean I should not have the problem? If I do have the problem are they less likelyto fix it if it is above the cutoff VIN? I still need to check under the hood to see if I'm experiencing the oil leak (72059251). Last question, is a flare up to 150-200 rpm normal? I was paying close attention driving home tonight and noticed what seemed to be a flare between 2nd and 3rd.

And no your transmission is not immune and do not go by that VIN cutoff anyway for trans as several 08 owners have had the trans problem. There have been several trans tsib including with VIN cutoff and the problem was still present built after that cutoff.
As to gear 2 to 3 you mentioned, no it is not normal, that's how they start off and/or is a function of throttle level, if slow accel they can be small like that.
Do NOT fool around with one where you believe it is 2 to 3 because you MUST have that working properly when pulling out into traffic as opposed to 3 to 4 where you are at least up to a reasonable speed when it slips. Keep an eye on it for now if you have only noticed it the one time but if you see it again demand they do something about it.

Sometimes the answer is right there in front of me but I fail to believe it. I noticed a 300rpm flare between 3rd and 4th this morning. Your right, the VIN above the cutoff are not immune. I have an appointment to drop it off at the dealer tomorrow on the motor mount and flare. I guess we'll go with the re-flash and see if it helps. If it continues after that then I will demand a new transmission. My car has probably been doing it since I got it but was not educated on what to look for. It now has 9K on it with manufacture date of 04/01/07. So subtle, but I'm sure can become a disaster after the warranty is up. Gives me some food for thought about the extended warranty.
On another note, is it normal for the visor light to shut off when the visor is pushed all the way toward the window? I noticed there was a TSB for the flicker. Mine doesn't flicker it just turns off. The lights inside this car are horrible. I have to open the visor to get the adequate lighting when needed. Anybody have any updated TSB's that they could post? I am specifically looking for the entire detailed TSB's.

Dealer contacted me today saying the motor mount has been ordered and they will be doing the re-flash on the transmission tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

The Repair: Replace the torque converter
Comment: Looks like Toyota has ferreted out and fixed the last of the U660E transmission problems. Kudos to them. Unfortunately, my dealer keeps telling me my car is "operating as designed", even though the shop foreman was able to reproduce the problem. Note that this "shudder" feels" much like a shift flare, but the tach doesn't spike like it does for the flare. It feels like a power sag and "thunk". Any brave souls up for seeing whether any dealers out there can replace a torque converter w/o scratching/breaking something or forgetting to put everything back correctly? This is a more complex job than a transmission replacement - one must remove the transmission, then separate the transmission and torque converter pieces.

The repair: Replace the button mechanism with one having a stronger spring that's harder to push.
Comment: This one's for those folks who a frustrated because when they lean their elbow/arm over the button, the door inadvertently pops open.
