Mitsubishi releases "official" details on Lancer Ralliart... and they are GOOD!
the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart will be a 5-door hatchback modelin Europe and be based on the sedan in the U.S. Power will reportedly come from a detuned version of the EVO X's 2.0L turbo-four producing 240 PS, or about 236 horsepower if you want to be stickler about conversions. Surprisingly, the Lancer Ralliart is also pegged to come with Mitsubishi's 6-speed Twin-Clutch SST transmission, a piece of kit only available on the top level Lancer EVO MR. The EVO GSR makes do with a simple 5-speed. Of course, the Ralliart model will also be aided by the same Super-All Wheel Control all-wheel-drive system used by the EVO X, as well Active Yaw Control and Active Center Differential. Other notable features include an aluminum hood, Recaro front seats, a sports steering wheel with paddle shifters and a special Ralliart radiator grille.
I used to be a subie fan... no longer... bring on the more affordable Lancer Ralliart baby! (but give me a traditional 6 speed please!)
Specs look good, I'll admit, but the styling is awful......as bad or worse than Subie's new WRX. That oversize grille outdoes even Audi's for garishness. The whole front end looks like something out or Star Wars or Battleship Galactica.

I've always loved the little radio control car look The body panels are pretty simple looking (no weird side moldings and such). I'm into the aggressive looks when it comes to rally cars.
I see there's nothing "official" about this report, with no Mitsu press release or no real evidence even from the Mitsu forums. In fact, this seems contradictory to earlier statements by Mitsu. Supposedly the Ralliart will be:
1. Detuned 2.0L EVO for around 240hp
2. 5 Speed manual as tranny
3. Evo 9 AWD system (non S-AWD, AYC, etc.)

I think thats why the word "official" in the title is in quotes.
However, I do think you are right with your listed specs. I just hope AYC makes it over!
